LAFAYETTE—Lafayette General Medical Center and Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) are proud to announce the addition of two cardiologists, Drs. Nick Cavros and John Patterson, who began seeing patients on Monday, May 2 at 443 Heymann Blvd., Suite B.
Dr. Nick Cavros is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Before joining CIS, he served as the Assistant Director of the Lankenau Hospital Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program and Interventional Research in Pennsylvania. He specializes in performing coronary and peripheral interventional procedures to treat coronary artery disease and peripheral artery disease.
Dr. John Patterson is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology. He is trained in coronary intervention with a focus on complex coronary disease as well as structural heart disease. Before joining the CIS team, Dr. Patterson held the title of Medical Director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories since 2004 at Winston-Salem Cardiology and served as Medical Director of Cardiovascular Research from 2003 to 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Drs. Cavros and Patterson join Dr. Agostino "Gus” Ingraldi, Dr. Wade May, Dr. Mike McElderry and Dr. Raghotham Patlola on the team of CIS physicians serving the Lafayette area. Dr. Mike Mounir, cardiologist at Lafayette General, continues to see patients at the CIS location on Heymann Boulevard.
