Lafayette General Medical Center is proud to offer FREE Valet Parking to our patients, families and visitors. Valet Parking is available at the front entrance of LGMC at 1214 Coolidge, as well as at the entrance to our Burdin Riehl Ambulatory Care Center at 1211 Coolidge.  Hours of operation are 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the main hospital entrance, and from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Burdin Riehl Center, for your convenience.  If planning to leave immediately, you can call ahead from a patient’s room by dialing ext. 3131.  After 6 p.m., keys can be retrieved from Security located in the Emergency Department waiting area.  This is a free service, so no tipping, please.

Patients and their visitors can park in parking tower at the Burdin Riehl Ambulatory Care Center across from the hospital on Coolidge Street or in the small hospital lot outside the Emergency Department near the Heymann Center, as construction allows. Handicapped parking is available in the Burdin Riehl parking tower and in the Emergency Department lot.  If you need special accommodations for handicapped parking, please call Security at 289-7777.  Security is happy to escort anyone to his or her car 24 hours a day.  Call 289-7777 to make arrangements.

 

From Opelousas:

Take I-49 South, which will turn into Evangeline Thruway after the I-10 interchange. Continue on Evangeline Thruway until the intersection with Pinhook Road. Turn right on to Pinhook; continue through four lights. At the fifth stop light, turn right on to South College, then right on to Coolidge. The hospital entrance will be immediately on your left.
 
From Lake Charles:

From I-10 East, exit south (right) onto University Avenue and follow University to the intersection with Pinhook Road. Turn right on to Pinhook; continue through two lights. At the third stop light, turn right on to South College, then right onto Coolidge.  The hospital entrance will be immediately on your left.

From Baton Rouge:

Take I-10 West, exit south at the I-49 interchange onto South Evangeline Thruway and on the Thruway to the intersection with Pinhook Road. Turn right on to Pinhook; continue through four lights. At the fifth stop light, turn right onto South College Road, then right onto Coolidge.  The hospital entrance will be immediately on your left. 

From New Iberia:

Go north on U.S. 90 and take a left onto Pinhook Road. Take a right on South College, then right onto Coolidge.  The hospital entrance will be immediately on your left.
