The open design of the MAGNETOM Espree gives patients generous amounts of head and elbow room, boasting nearly a foot above the patient's head and more than 27 inches from side to side. The MAGNETOM Espree can also be less traumatic for younger patients; because of its open design bodily contact is possible during the scan so a child undergoing an exam could hold a grown-up’s hand for comfort.
