Our bariatric program at Lafayette General Medical Center offers free monthly informational seminars to the public.  The seminars cover obesity, weight loss surgery options, information about our multidisciplinary program, Q & A with the surgeons, and patient testimonials.  Please see the seminar link to register or view upcoming dates.

 

We also have multiple support groups where patients come togeather to help support one another both before and after surgery.  Vital friendships are made in our support groups as well as accountability from other patients and the LGMC bariatric team.  We have special guest speakers such as nutrition stores, exercise and pilates instruction, and even clothes swaps.   These support groups are closed to our patients in the LGMC program.
